It is always an uplifting experience to wake up and find that the landscape is shrouded in mist.

It is interesting how agriculture often unwittingly creates inspirational art directly onto the landscape.

Sometimes it is very liberating to leave the heavy artillery at home and enjoy the freedom of using your smartphone to capture spontaneous images.

This very day in 2019, we had a beautiful early morning mist. A reminder that the season is slowly changing and Autumn is waiting in the wings.

  • FOREST WORKSHOPS RESUME

Join me once again in the wonderful Savernake Forest.

After many weeks of being unable to run my Forest Photography Workshops, I am glad to announce that once again it is possible to escort groups of up to three persons into this beautiful location.

If you are new to photography, or would like to accelerate your skills and techniques, why not join me for a half day Photography Workshop in the Savernake Forest.

The forest offers a host of challenges to any photographer, no matter what you skill level. It's a beautiful and inspiring location, but it can test the best!  Veticals fight with horizontals and diagonals interfere with the perfect composition! Finding an eloquent framing can often elude the sharpest eye - and it is, as they say, sometimes difficult to see the wood, for the trees.

I have spent hundreds of hours in this magnificent local haven and with a little patience and application, I will show you how to access the very best of what the forest has to offer.

My workshops last for four hours and are open to all ages and skill levels. All you need is your camera, some stout boots and your enthusiasm. I have been looking through the lens of a camera for the last forty years, travelling the world and shooting pictures for a host of international clients. And there is nothing I enjoy more these days than passing on the knowledge and experience that I have gained, to help others who share my passion for photography. FIND OUT MORE
